Honest Work was created through a partnership between Parus Nischal, CEO of Nischal Sports Group (NSG), and Amani Davis, a resident physician at UPMC. Since July 2023, Parus and Amani have self funded exhibitions showcasing the work of underrepresented artists at NSG’s offices at 1001 Liberty Avenue. Our earliest exhibitions have been an overwhelming success. From the beginning, our vision has been uncompromising to offer artists the opportunity to exhibit their work in settings that are comparable to and competitive with academic and commercial gallery spaces.

Looking ahead to 2026, we aim to expand our efforts and deepen our impact for artists and their communities. Our pursuit of funding through the Opportunity Fund is grounded in the recognition that many underrepresented artists continue to face structural barriers to visibility, access, and long term opportunity within the arts. Too often, these artists are made to feel unwelcome or out of place in mainstream art spaces. Honest Work exists to challenge that reality by exhibiting their work in increasingly high profile environments.

We plan to develop a series of future exhibitions, each with a distinct focus, showcasing a wide range of artists and mediums. Every exhibit is designed to foster a welcoming community of art lovers from all walks of life and to ensure that no one feels intimidated or excluded from participating in these spaces.
